Advantages of Chamber Membership... • The Hewitt Chamber of Commerce consists of local businesses, professional people, and private citizens committed to the community's civic and economic development. The Chamber is funded primarily through member contributions. • Chamber membership affords you the opportunity to get involved in the community affairs in an organized way, acting in concert with other members as one voice. The Chamber regularly supports and/or sponsors events that have a direct impact on the fabric of life in the Greater Hewitt area. • The Chamber hosts ribbon cuttings and groundbreaking ceremonies at no cost to members. Photos of the event are published at no cost in the Hewitt Express Magazine as well as our online Photo Gallery. • New members are "spotlighted" in the Hewitt Express, a great source of free advertising. • Chamber members receive free listings in the business directory published annually and distributed to member businesses, to new residents of Hewitt, and in our relocation packages mailed to perspective residents upon request. • Chamber members and their business phone numbers are listed free in the Membership Directory included in every issue of our quarterly Magazine, the Hewitt Express. Member advertising rates in the Hewitt Express are remarkably inexpensive. The Hewitt Express has a distribution of more 1000 copies per issue and is distributed to banks, restaurants, and other points of consumer contact in the community. • The Chamber staff regularly receives phone and walk-in requests for referrals. Only Chamber members are recommended. • Our most popular promotion is the "Welcome to Hewitt Gift Bag." New residents of Hewitt receive welcome bags from the Chamber and distributed by the city water department. Chamber members are encouraged to include specialty items such as business cards, coupons, and other customer incentives. Only Chamber members may include items and there is no charge. The Chamber currently distributes over 100 bags a month. • Networking opportunities abound. The Chamber regularly schedules breakfasts and luncheons and member business take pride in hosting "Business After Hours" mixers. The Chamber also hosts an annual banquet for all Chamber members. |
