A Message from the President

2012 is going to be an exciting yet challenging year; a year that every business must go above and beyond to succeed.

As a visitor to the City of Hewitt we welcome you.

If you plan to base your business here, we offer you the services of the Chamber and encourage you to become a member of the Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce.

This website and the 2012 Visitor’s Guide and Membership Directory will be an excellent source of information for you.

As a Chamber, we strive to promote the business of every member as well as to encourage the members to “shop Hewitt” before going elsewhere.

The Chamber gives its members the platform to present their products or services and to see what other businesses have to offer at the regularly scheduled functions such as the Monthly Networking Lunch Forums, Business after Hours and Breakfast Blenders.

A number of advertising opportunities are available for members to take advantage of that are reasonably priced such as this Annual Visitor’s Guide and Membership Directory, which has a print run of 2,000, the Quarterly Hewitt Chamber Magazine with a print run of 1,200 and the weekly e-newsletter, which is sent out to 1,100 subscribers.

Other well-supported events put on by the Chamber are the Annual Banquet, the Annual Golf Tournament as well as the Hewitt Expo which offer Chamber members additional sponsorship and participation opportunities to promote their business.
Fortunately, the Chamber has a very active Board of Directors and a large contingent of enthusiastic Ambassadors who ensure that the events put on by the Chamber are a great success.

I encourage existing members to participate enthusiastically in the coming year and get as much out of the Chamber as possible. I also encourage any new members to go ahead and join to get the benefits of this fast-growing and dynamic Chamber.

We have an outstanding staff at the Chamber. Call them and they will be happy to assist you.

Thank you,
Ian Dawson • 2012 Hewitt Chamber President
