Alissa Cady   Exec­u­tive Direc­tor
Raised locally in Waco, Alissa grad­u­ated from Mid­way High School and then Bay­lor Uni­ver­sity in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Busi­ness and Marketing.During col­lege and par­tial post-college career, Alissa’s pro­fes­sion encom­passed the restau­rant indus­try for eight years. Alissa’s back­ground includes sales, mar­ket­ing, devel­op­ment, pub­lic rela­tions and oper­a­tions man­age­ment. Fol­low­ing grad­u­a­tion, Alissa trav­eled with Cheddar’s Casual Cafe on the restau­rant open­ing team, while man­ag­ing restau­rants for two years through­out cen­tral Texas.Alissa returned to Waco in 2009 after her engage­ment and began a career with the Hewitt Cham­ber as Mar­ket­ing Coor­di­na­tor, August of 2010. In June of 2011, Alissa was nom­i­nated by the Board of Direc­tors to Interim Exec­u­tive Direc­tor. Octo­ber 2011 marks the begin­ning of her career as the Hewitt Cham­ber Exec­u­tive Direc­tor. In addi­tion, Alissa is involved with Women of Waco, Hewitt Kiwa­nis Club and Heart of Texas events committees.

Inter­ests include: church activ­i­ties with FUMC Waco, Zumba, fam­ily, sports and com­pe­ti­tion, the beach and out­door activ­i­ties. Alissa’s hus­band, Chris Cady, is the Direc­tor of Oper­a­tions for George’s Restau­rant and Catering.

Alissa and Chris have a son, Chris­t­ian Allan, of 22 months.
Cassie Johan­son Pub­lic Rela­tions Coor­di­na­tor
Cassie is orig­i­nally from Den­ver, Colo., but lived in Del­e­van, Wisc., and Ocean­side, Calif., before mov­ing to Waco. Fol­low­ing her geo­graphic tran­si­tion, Cassie grad­u­ated from Mid­way High School and stud­ied at the Art Insti­tute of Hous­ton. Cassie earned a bachelor’s degree in fash­ion and retail man­age­ment with an empha­sis on fash­ion show and event production.During col­lege, Cassie had the oppor­tu­nity to study abroad in France, Italy, Ire­land, Eng­land and Spain. In addi­tion, Cassie took an intern­ship with Gar­den Ridge Hous­ton, where she man­aged visual mer­chan­dis­ing, prod­uct pro­mo­tion and inven­tory. After grad­u­at­ing from the Art Insti­tute, Cassie returned to Waco. In June 2011, Cassie became the Pub­lic Rela­tions Coor­di­na­tor at the Hewitt Cham­ber. Cassie came to the cham­ber with a back­ground in event man­age­ment, sales and cus­tomer service.

Inter­ests include spend­ing time with Austin Thomas, boyfriend, and their two golden retriev­ers, horse­back rid­ing at Per­cell Ranch in Merid­ian and is a mem­ber of Off Road Out­laws an ATV and Off Road Vehi­cle Club in Waco.
